A native Bostonian, Richard Battista
graduated from Burdett College with a degree in finance
and accounting. His love for the culinary industry
began at an early age at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Boston,
from there on to Europe for an eight year apprenticeship
in France and Italy. As an educator his assignments
included the California Culinary Academy, Johnson and Wales
University, the Los Angeles Culinary Institute, and
the Art Institute. His culinary resume includes; Executive
Chef, Executive Pastry Chef, author, contributing editor
to regional and national publications and past president
of the American Culinary Federation/LA.
He is the former talk show host of
“Food for Thought” on KSCO radio for several
years before coming to KNEW 910am. His
charm, wit and knowledge will appeal to your senses and
your culinary skills will be enhanced.
